X% of Y = X/100 × Y. ‘X is what % of Y’ = X/Y × 100. Change = (new − old) / old × 100.

part = p/100 × whole; percent = part/whole × 100; change = (new − old)/old × 100

Hypothèses

Limites

FAQ

Is percentage change the same as percentage points?
No. A rate moving from 10% to 12% is 2 percentage points and a 20% relative change.
